“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life…”
After working for 20 years in the leisure industry I decided to devote my energies into my genuine passion for Yoga and a healthy holistic lifestyle. With a happy heart and deep belief, I took a leap of faith and created “Yoga with Yasmin” born out of a love for Yoga and a passion for Dance.
Today, I teach a variety of classes alongside my partner David in the Swindon area. As the classes have grown we have welcomed the chance to give something back in the form of charity fundraising events that are fun and promote a sense of community.
Each class has an individual focus reflecting the myriad needs of our daily lives. When asked about my brand of Yoga I once described it as “Lyrical Yoga” as I enjoy teaching a fusion of styles incorporating my love of literature, music and the poetry of movement.
I have been fortunate to study alongside some very inspiring teachers who have fuelled the desire in me to reach out with an individualistic style, and spread the yogic cloak across the muddy puddles of life…
“Nurture your dreams, look after your body and be truthful to yourself…”
We all need a little peace, love & inspiration – Yoga is my inspiration…
I spent many years practising Martial Arts before discovering I could take this discipline and respect into a Yogic practice and lifestyle. Today I have found a deeper reward from teaching alongside my partner Yasmin.
I offer clearly informative and focussed instruction, always keeping the beginners mind at the forefront of any posture that I introduce. I believe in teaching Yoga from the ground up, laying strong foundations for future growth.
I consider Yoga to be a lifelong journey and take immense pride in seeing a beginner progress to a more advanced posture which is reflected in the classes I teach. My relaxed approach to teaching makes for a welcoming environment which means class participants are truly free to move at their own pace whether seasoned Yogi or complete beginner.
